Study tour in Madrid

Last weekend, DYSE Director Ed Dablin joined the ‘International Association of Bridge and Structural Engineering’ (IABSE) study tour to Madrid. Ed joined Engineers and Architects from across Europe for a pilgrimage to some of Madrid’s most interesting structures.
Highlights form the trip included guided visits to the Eduardo Torroja’s Zarzuela Hippodrome, the plethora of new bridges of Madrid Rio development and the hyperbolic paraboloids of the roof of Felix Candela’s Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe church.
