Meet The Team

Ed has broad experience in structural design, inspection and assessment having worked on large infrastructure design and build schemes, long span bridges, bridge reconstruction schemes, strengthening schemes, temporary works and a variety of bridge and civil structures. He has gained significant experience working collaboratively on multi-disciplinary projects including as Civils Design CRE.

Ed enjoys taking on a challenging project, developing a real understanding of the issues and finding the right approach to solve difficult technical challenges. He relishes working with his clients to find buildable solutions and eliminate and manage risk throughout the design process.

Ed is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers. He is a past Executive Committee Member of the British Group of the International Association of Bridge and Structural Engineering. He is a founding director of DYSE.

Jonny has a diverse experience in building design, both old and new. He has successfully delivered projects of varying forms and materials from small artisan projects to multi-million pound schemes. He also works with contractors and developers in the strategising, design and implementation of temporary works.

Jonny is passionate about contemporary architecture and believes architecture should be accessible for everyone. He relishes the opportunity to contribute early in the design process, firmly believing a collaborative process results in good design.

Jonny is a Chartered Structural Engineer and lectures at The University of Manchester. He is a past chair of the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) regional group and an elected IStructE council member. He is also a member of the International Association of Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE). Jonny is a founding director of DYSE.

Barry has a broad range of experience in the detailing and coordination of structures. His expertise includes steel fabrication, reinforced concrete and post tensioned concrete structures. Within DYSE, Barry is responsible for leading the coordination of projects and has overall responsibility for our BIM standards.

Barry is Technician Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers and a professionally qualified Structural Technician.

Neus has over seven years experience in the design of structures. Her experience includes varying types of bridge structures, materials and structural forms. More recently she has gained experience in the design of building structures.

Neus is passionate about structural design and theory with particular interest in bridge structures. She enjoys working on challenging projects and looking for the most optimised solution to problems. She particularly enjoys working with contractors and believes that close collaboration can result in the best holistic solution.

Neus is professionally qualified with the the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers (CICCP).

Daniel joined DYSE in April 2023. Daniel is an experienced bridge engineer in the UK having worked  for a bridge building specialist and also major consultancies delivering large infrastructure projects such as HS2. His experience comprises different types of bridges, footbridges and other structures.

Daniel enjoys staying up to date with the application of new technology in engineering and seeks to incorporate improvements to increase efficiency.

Daniel is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

Andrus joined DYSE in Autumn 2019 after obtaining a first-class honours in his Masters in Civil Engineering from The University of Leeds. Since joining DYSE, Andrus has gained experience working on both buildings and bridges projects which has further added to experience gained whilst completing an industrial placement year whilst at University.

Andrus is professionally qualified with the the Institution of Structural Engineers.

Jake has a broad range of building and civil engineering design obtained across a variety of projects. His experience includes the design and detailing of contemporary private homes, residential projects, police stations and fire stations.

Jake joined DYSE at the beginning of 2022 after 12 months industry experience gained after achieving his civil engineering degree from the University of Salford. He is currently working towards Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Structural Engineers.

Rosh joined DYSE in January 2023 as a Graduate Engineer.

Rosh studied Automotive Performance Engineering at the University of Bolton where she graduated in 2022 with a First Class Honours degree.

Rosh has joined the DYSE graduate development programme where she will quick start her career in the world of structural engineering.

Grace joined DYSE in Sumer 2024 after a brief period working on bridge inspections for a multi-national engineering consultancy. Grace graduated from The University of Manchester with a MEng in Civil Engineering.

Graced is working towards becoming a professionally qualified engineer.

Spandan joined DYSE in Sumer 2024 after graduating from The University of Manchester with a MSc in Structural Engineering. W

Spandan is working towards becoming a professionally qualified engineer.

Emily joined DYSE in summer 2023 as a structural technician, having already completed her apprenticeship to become professionally qualified Civil Engineering Technician.

Since then, Emily has now completed her Civil Engineering degree at UCLAN whilst at DYSE, and was awarded a 1st class. She is now a Graduate Engineer in the DYSE bridge team on the Graduate Development programme.

Andy has over 25 years’ experience delivering engineering projects across various sectors for different disciplines. Andy has a breadth of knowledge in engineering which permits him to devise details from concept and consider sequence of construction to ensure buildable and efficient solutions.

Andy has a PGDip in BIM and Integrated Design.

Ali joined DYSE in January 2020 as a Junior BIM Technician before progressing to becoming a BIM technician. After completing his A Levels Ali spent the next few years as a ski guide in the Italian Alps before joining DYSE.

Ali works across all the service offerings and has been responsible for modelling, detailing and coordinating building, bridge and civil projects.

Ali completed his apprenticeship  and became a professionally qualified Civil Engineering Technician in 2022.

Alex joined DYSE in 2021 as a Junior BIM Technician after leaving school. He is currently on the DYSE apprenticeship programme and attends college one day a week, working towards becoming a professionally qualified Civil Engineering Technician.

Harvey joined DYSE in Summer 2024 after finishing school. He is currently on a Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship where he is working towards professional qualification.

Simon has over 30 years’ experience in the design, implementation, supervision and reporting of ground investigation, geotechnical and civil engineering. This includes work for roads, bridges, housing development, schools, power and industrial infrastructure, reclamation of derelict land, and major public PFI schemes.   He also has over 30 years’ experience in Civil Engineering.

Simon is a consultant at DYSE and works across all our services advising on geotechnical analysis and design.
