On Saturday Mark and Matty volunteered their time to help run Chain:20 in Manchester as members of the Institution of Structural Engineers Young Members Group Lancashire & Cheshire.

Chain:20 is a free annual multi-disciplinary event for young engineers helping them to shape their futures. Through a series of inspirational talks from an extremely broad range of engineers and institutions (NASA, IMechE, IPowerE, ICE, IStructE were all represented), students were shown the vast possibilities for a career in engineering. Topics discussed included the new Queen Elizabeth Class Carriers, the future of UK construction sequences of spacecraft testing, and general career talk, discussion and motivation.
