The Northern Hub and North West Electrification programmes constitutes a series of upgrades to the railway in the north of England. The upgrades provide faster journey times, better connectivity and improved capacity. DYSE have helped to deliver a number of civils works in readiness for the line speed increase for the Phase 4 route.
DYSE have undertaken both permanent works and temporary works designs for a number of schemes on the route including: • The structural relining of a failed stone slab culvert using an innovative cast in place structural liner. • The design of masts to support TOWS warning equipment at 4 sites • Station modification works at Salford Central Station • The design of GRP height restrictive barriers at 10 stations. • The design of civils interventions at 10 sites to protect the line from vehicle incursion
