As part of the Circle Square development in Manchester city centre, Phase 1B includes the construction of a 1000 space multi-storey car park, and development of a new hotel. This substantial development requires significant temporary works to facilitate the construction of the permanent works. The works to Phase 1B are due to complete in Q3/Q4 of 2019.
DYSE have been appointed as temporary works consultants by the contractor undertaking design of various temporary works elements, as well as undertaking CAT II and CAT III temporary works checks. Innovative solutions include mass concrete gravity retaining walls formed with precast rings to form temporary retaining structures to a working platform.
