As part of a cycle of redevelopment and modernisation of existing assets, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service are systematically modernising their existing Fire Stations. Glossop Fire Station is a dilapidated and outdated asset. The scheme seeks to provide a replacement two storey Fire Station with associated appliance bays and training facilities including smoke house and training yard.
We are undertaking site wide Civil and Structural engineering design for the proposed scheme. The scheme comprises of a steel framed appliance bay to house two vehicles alongside a two storey ancillary space to house offices, storage, rest and training facilities. The site will feature a new smoke house for training along with a training yard to the rear. As well as the structural design, we are providing civil design including highways, external works, below ground drainage and SuDS design. The scheme has been submitted to planning. Construction is anticipated to commence in 2024.
